Mobile phone radiations |
Recent research led by the Institute of Cancer Epidemiology in Denmark to record 350,000 people who use cell phones in the last 18 years. The researchers concluded that the risk of the users just the same as others who tinggak take cell phones to the possibility of brain cancer.
The findings, published in the British medical journal came after a series of similar studies with similar conclusions. The reaction to these findings varied.
Some experts said the results of this study to reassure people, but others question the way research is done. They do not involve the phone for business users, who rely heavily on mobile phones.
Hazel Nunn, head of health information at Cancer Research UK, said, "These results are the strongest evidence so far that using a cell phone does not increase the risk of brain cancer or disrupt the nervous system of adults."
Professor Anders Ahlbom, from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, praised the study and scientists said the findings were inconclusive. While Professor David Spiegelhalter, expert health risks from the University of Cambridge, UK said, "The use of mobile phones began to rise in 1995 and this comparison start from the beginning."
"But a lack of evidence of risk of brain tumors remains a very important evidence," added Spiegelhalter, as quoted by the BBC.
